Data processing when using the webshop

If you would like to order in our webshop, it is necessary for the conclusion of the contract that you provide your personal data, which we need for the purpose of processing your order. Mandatory information necessary for the processing of contracts is marked separately, other information is voluntary. For payment, you can provide your payment data to our payment service providers or we pass on your payment data to our house bank, whereby these third parties are in each case independently responsible for the payment processing. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)b GDPR.

If you opt for payment processing via the payment service provider Mollie B.V., Keizersgracht 313, 1016 EE Amsterdam/NDL, we pass on your information provided during the ordering process (name, address, IBAN, BIC, invoice amount, currency and transaction number) for the purpose of executing the contract. Further information on data protection can be found at https://www.mollie.com/de/privacy.

If you wish, you can create a customer account, through which we can store your data for future purchases. When creating an account, the data you provide will be stored revocably. You can always delete all further data, including your user account, in the customer area.

Your data will be stored as long as your registration is valid. Legal storage obligations, for example due to commercial or tax law requirements, remain unaffected.

If we use external service providers to process personal data, these service providers have been carefully selected, commissioned in writing and are bound by our instructions. The service providers will not pass this data on to third parties, but will delete it once the contract has been fulfilled and the statutory storage periods have expired, unless consent has been given to store it beyond this.

Newsletter

With your consent you have the possibility to subscribe to our newsletter, in which we inform you about the expansion of our range. For the registration to our newsletter we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. After registration, you will receive an email to the email address you provided, in which we ask you to confirm your subscription to the newsletter. If no confirmation is received, your data provided in this context and for this purpose will be blocked and automatically deleted. We also store the IP address you used for registration as well as the date and time of your registration and confirmation. The purpose of the storage is to prove your registration and to be able to clarify a possible misuse of your personal data.

The only mandatory information for a subscription to the newsletter is your email address. After your confirmation, we store your email address for sending the newsletter. The legal basis for this is Articel 6(1)a GDPR. You can revoke your consent to subscribe to the newsletter at any time.

Cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are assigned to the browser you are using and stored on your hard drive by a characteristic string of characters, and through which certain information flows to the entity that sets the cookie. Cookies cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your computer and therefore cannot cause any damage. They serve to make the Internet offer as a whole more user-friendly and effective, i.e. more pleasant for you.

Cookies can contain data that makes it possible to recognize the device used. In some cases, however, cookies only contain information about certain settings that are not personally identifiable. However, cookies cannot directly identify a user.

A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted again as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session. Among other things, we set cookies that are absolutely necessary to navigate the website, use basic functions and ensure the security of the website; this is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)f GDPR). These cookies do not collect information about you for marketing purposes, nor do they store which websites you have visited.

We also use tools to improve the user experience and to offer you more features and display interest-based advertising. While these are not strictly necessary for the basic functionality of the website, they may bring some benefits to you as a user, especially in terms of user experience and the provision of additional communication, display or payment channels.

The legal basis for these tools is your consent according to Article 6(1)a GDPR, Sec. 25(1) TTDSG, which you can give, revoke and manage via our cookie management system. There you will also receive further information about the individual cookies set and tools used. In this respect, we use CookieBot.

According to Article 7(1) GDPR, it is necessary that we can prove your consent to the processing of your personal data. CookieBot helps us to do exactly that, as it informs you about cookies that we use on our website and we can manage and document any required consents. The legal basis for managing the data is Article 6(1)c GDPR.

Use of Google Analytics

Our website uses the web analytics service Google Analytics, which is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland for users from Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (collectively "Google") for all other users.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyze and improve our website based on your user behavior. Google processes the data to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Your IP address is anonymized before further processing, so that no conclusions about your identity are possible.

The legality of the third country transfer to our service provider is ensured by the conclusion of the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission pursuant to Article 46 GDPR in conjunction with a concluded order processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR. In addition, you give your consent within the scope of our Consent Management Tool pursuant to Article 49(1)a GDPR.

Use of Google Tag Manager

With Google Tag Manager, marketers can manage website tags via an interface. However, the Tag Manager itself, which deploys the tags, works without cookies and does not collect any personal data. The Tag Manager merely triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. For these respective third-party providers, corresponding explanations can be found in this privacy policy. However, the Google Tag Manager does not use this data. If you have set or otherwise made a deactivation of cookies, this will be observed for all tracking tags that were used with the Google Tag Manager; the tool therefore does not change your cookie settings. You can find more information on how Google Tag Manager works here: https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/2772432?hl=de&topic=2574304&ctx=topic and in the usage guidelines: https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/tag-manager/.

Google Ads

We use "Google Ads" on our website, an advertising service from Google, which enables us to draw attention to our offer with the help of external advertising media on external websites and to determine the success of individual advertising measures. For this purpose, cookies and pixel tags are set that process the following parameters: IP address, browser information, usage data, date and time of visit, location information, cookie ID. The legal basis for this is your consent, which you can revoke at any time.

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for processing. The log data is usually anonymized after nine months, and the cookie information is anonymized after 18 months.

You can obtain further information from Google on data processing at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de, on the options for objecting at https://safety.google/privacy/privacy-controls/ and on Google's cookie policy at https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies?hl=de.

Use of Google Maps

This site uses the map service Google Maps. To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to store your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google Maps is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and an easy location of the places indicated by us on the website. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)f GDPR.

More information on the handling of user data can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de.

Meta Ads

We use the Meta Pixel, a service of Meta Inc, 1601 S California Ave, Palo Alto, California 94304, USA ("Meta"). Meta Pixel enables Meta to display our advertisements, so-called "Meta-Ads", only to users who have been visitors to our website, especially if interest in our online offering has been shown. Meta Pixel also makes it possible to check whether a user was redirected to our website after clicking on our Meta Ads. The user's actions are stored in cookies on your terminal device. These cookies allow Meta to match your user data with your Meta account data. The collected data is anonymous and not visible to us and is only used in the context of advertising placements. If you have a user account with Meta and are registered, Meta can assign the visit to your user account.

We use meta pixels for marketing and optimization purposes, in particular to display ads that are relevant and interesting to you and thus improve our offer and make it more interesting for users.

The use of the Meta Pixel is based on your consent (Article 6(1)a GDPR, Sec. 25(1) TTDSG). Further information can be found at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

TikTok Pixel

We use the TikTok Pixel, a service of TikTok Technology Limited, 10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, D02 T380, Ireland, and TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited, WeWork, 125 Kingsway, London, WC2B 6NH, United Kingdom.

The TikTok Pixel enables us to understand and track visitors' activity on our website. For this purpose, the Tiktok Pixel collects and processes information about the users of our website or the devices they use.

This data collected through the TikTok Pixel is used for targeting our ads and improving ad delivery and personalized advertising, and is transmitted to TikTok for this purpose.

The legal basis for the collection and transmission of personal data is Article 6(1)a GDPR, Sec. 25(1) TTDSG. You can revoke the consent at any time via our Consent Management Tool.

Further information on data processing is available at: https://ads.tiktok.com/i18n/official/article?aid=300871706948451871 and https://www.tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy?lang=de-DE.

Mable

Within our online services, a tool offered by the company Mable GmbH (Register Court: AG Mannheim, HRB 744199), based at Bahnhofplatz 12, 76137 Karlsruhe (hereinafter "Mable") is used. Mable enables us, in the interests of users and in our own interests, to better control our data flows and to decide and manage which data is passed on to third parties. It also enables us to independently evaluate this data according to our own criteria. When we work with certain partners, e.g. for the purpose of online marketing, this often requires the integration of code components that result in a direct server connection and the collection of personal data from our website users by the partner. In this case, we often have no influence on the exact data collected or the data flows. Mable enables us to use programs from partners without integrating their code into our website. In this case, a direct server connection to the website users by the third party is not required. Instead of the direct server connection, the partner receives the aggregated data, if available, from us.

For the aforementioned purpose of processing and disclosure, we process the following data of website users: a pseudonymous user ID; visitor behavior on websites (visitor behavior includes, among other things, data on where visitors come from, which areas of a website are visited and how often and for how long which subpages and categories are viewed). This data may be added to the information stored in your user account or collected during the order process, regardless of whether the purchase has been completed.

The data processing is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a. GDPR.

Updating the privacy policy

Since this data protection notice may change from time to time as a result of legal changes or new functions within the scope of our offer, we recommend that you check it regularly.
